Joe Jonas and Nelly have joined Gloria Estefanand John Rich on The CW’s upcoming singing competition.
Formerly titled The Star Next Door, The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep comes from executive producer Queen Latifah and follows the four professional mentors as they travel to the hometowns of hopeful superstars. The mentors immerse themselves in the local culture and the contestants’ lives while also helping them prepare to compete and perform live in front of America.
The Next is set to premiere sometime later this summer.
Jonas will next appear on a very different type of reality show — Fox’s new celebrity dating seriesThe Choice, premiering on Thursday. Nelly most recently guest-starred on an episode of The CW’s 90210 last year.
